Difusión Group is an international educational publishing group specialising in language teaching, bringing together the well-established brands Difusión, Éditions Maison des Langues (EMDL) and Casa delle Lingue.
As part of our international expansion, we are looking for a Commercial Associate based in England to support the development of our activities in the UK education market, with a strong focus on schools, universities, language centres and teacher networks.
The role
This is a field-oriented, relationship-driven role, ideal for someone familiar with the UK education sector and passionate about language learning and educational resources.
You will be responsible for:
- Promoting our print and digital language teaching materials to teachers and educational institutions across the UK.
- Presenting our editorial catalogue through face-to-face meetings, online presentations, events and conferences.
- Supporting institutions that adopt our materials, helping them integrate resources effectively into their courses.
- Attending and contributing to education fairs, webinars, workshops and professional events.
- Working closely with distributors and local partners to strengthen brand visibility and market presence.
- Proactively generating school visits and commercial opportunities.
- Identifying customer needs and market trends, and sharing structured feedback with the editorial team to support the development and adaptation of new products, particularly those designed for the UK market.
- Monitoring the UK market and competitive landscape, providing insights on competitors, positioning and opportunities to inform commercial and editorial decisions.
- Providing clear and structured activity reports (school visits, presentations, events, follow-ups) using the CRM system.
About you
- Proven commercial experience in either the education sector (schools, universities, language centres) and/or the educational publishing sector is essential.
- Professional background in education, business, sales or marketing.
- Strong interest in educational publishing and market development.
- Solid sales and relationship-building skills, with a proactive, target-oriented and autonomous approach.
- Ability to analyse customer needs, market data and competitive information and translate them into actionable insights.
- In-depth knowledge of the British education system, particularly the education system in England, is essential.
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to both small groups and larger audiences.
- Able to work independently as a freelance associate.
- Willing to travel occasionally within the UK.
- Fluent English required.
- Spanish at a minimum B1 level is required; French is highly valued and Italian is a plus.
- Occasional weekend availability is required for certain professional events.
